Terms of Service

Last updated · June 9, 2026

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of the ZER0 Esports website at this domain, our official Discord server, our tryout and trial programs, and any related properties operated by ZER0 Esports (“ZER0,” “we,” or “us”).

By visiting the site, joining our Discord, applying for a tryout, or otherwise interacting with us through these surfaces, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or our community spaces.

1. Acceptance

ZER0 Esports is a competitive gaming organization fielding rosters in titles including VALORANT and Apex Legends. The website is informational and community-facing. It is not a paid service, a tournament platform, or a marketplace. By using the site you confirm that you have read these Terms and accept them.

We may update these Terms over time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the public site. Some areas of our community — including tryouts, trial rosters, and certain Discord channels — may require participants to be 16 or older, or to have a parent or legal guardian’s permission, depending on the program and the rules of the relevant game publisher.

You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the site and our community is lawful in the jurisdiction where you live. Where local law sets a higher minimum age for online services, that higher age applies to you.

3. Accounts and access

The website does not currently offer a public user account product. Accounts exist only for ZER0 staff, coaches, captains, and approved contributors. Staff accounts are managed through Clerk, our third party identity provider, and are gated behind invitation and role approval.

If you have been granted a staff account, you are responsible for:

  • Keeping your sign in credentials confidential.
  • Using two factor authentication when offered.
  • Notifying us promptly if you believe your account has been used without your permission.
  • Activity that occurs under your account, except where we are at fault.

We may suspend or revoke staff access at any time, with or without notice, when we believe it is necessary to protect the organization, its players, or its community.

4. Acceptable use

We want our site, our Discord, and our broadcast communities to be places where players, fans, and prospective tryouts feel welcome. When you interact with any of these spaces, you agree not to:

  • Harass, threaten, dox, or discriminate against any person, including players, staff, opponents, casters, viewers, or community members.
  • Impersonate ZER0 staff, players, coaches, partners, or any other person or organization.
  • Post or share content that is illegal, sexually explicit, violently graphic, defamatory, or that promotes hate or self harm.
  • Use cheats, exploits, smurf accounts in tryouts, match fixing schemes, boosting services, or any other behavior that violates the rules of the relevant game publisher or league.
  • Spam, phish, scrape, automate, scrape rate limited APIs, or attempt to circumvent moderation, rate limits, or technical access controls.
  • Submit false information through our contact form, tryout applications, or any other intake channel.
  • Disrupt the site, our Discord, or any infrastructure we use, including denial of service attempts, malware, and reverse engineering of authenticated tools.

Violations may result in removal of content, removal from Discord, disqualification from tryouts, revocation of trial offers, and where appropriate referral to the relevant platform or law enforcement.

5. Content and intellectual property

Our marks and content

The ZER0 name, the [ZER0] wordmark, the ZE monogram, our jerseys, our colorways, photography of our players in ZER0 kit, broadcast graphics, and the design of this website are owned by ZER0 Esports or licensed to us. You may not use them to imply endorsement, affiliation, or partnership without written permission.

You may reference us in good faith editorial, news, and fan contexts (for example, posting about a match result or sharing a clip). Logos and other marks must not be modified or combined with marks of any other organization in a way that suggests a partnership that does not exist.

Player likenesses

Our players retain rights in their personal likeness, in game name, and personal brand. Use of a player’s likeness for commercial purposes — including merchandise, sponsorship creative, or paid promotion — requires the player’s and the organization’s written consent.

Fan content

Fan art, edits, highlight reels, and community memes about ZER0 and our players are welcome and encouraged, provided they comply with the acceptable use rules above. By posting fan content tagging ZER0 you grant us a non exclusive, royalty free license to repost, share, and credit that content on our channels. We will not claim ownership of your underlying work and we will respect a request to take down a repost.

Reporting infringement

If you believe content on our site or in our community infringes your rights, contact us through the channel listed at the bottom of this page with a clear description of the work, where it appears, and how you would like it resolved.

6. Tryouts, trials, and roster decisions

ZER0 occasionally runs open tryouts and invitational trials for our competitive rosters. Participation is at our discretion and offers no guarantee of placement, contract, scrim invitation, or future consideration.

  • Tryout announcements, schedules, and requirements will be posted in our Discord and on the website. Information shared in private channels is not binding until confirmed in writing by ZER0 leadership.
  • Coaches and captains may end a tryout, change format, or move candidates between pools at any time.
  • Trial period contracts, roster announcements, and roster changes are communicated only through official channels (the website, our Discord roster channels, and our X account).
  • We do not charge entry fees for tryouts. Anyone asking you to pay for a tryout, a contract, or a guaranteed roster slot in our name should be reported to us immediately.

7. Third party services and links

The site embeds and links to third party services we use to run the organization, including but not limited to:

  • Discord (community, tryouts, announcements)
  • Twitch (live streams and the embedded broadcast player)
  • X / Twitter (announcements and roster updates)
  • Instagram (photo and short form content)
  • YouTube and TikTok (when active)
  • Clerk (admin authentication)
  • Hosting and managed database providers

Each of these services has its own terms of service and privacy policy. When you click out from our site or interact with an embed, you are also subject to those third party terms. We are not responsible for the conduct, content, or availability of third party services.

8. Disclaimers

The site, our Discord, and our community programs are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, ZER0 disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non infringement, and uninterrupted or error free operation.

Schedules, rosters, broadcasts, and event information may change without notice. We try to keep the site accurate, but we do not warrant that any information on the site is current, complete, or free of errors at the moment you read it.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ZER0 Esports, its staff, coaches, players acting in their org capacity, contractors, and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the site or our community.

Where liability cannot be excluded by law, our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with these Terms is limited to the amount you have paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, which for almost all visitors will be zero.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ZER0 Esports and its staff from claims, damages, and reasonable expenses arising from your violation of these Terms, your misuse of the site or our community, or your infringement of any third party right.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our operations, our community programs, the games we field, or applicable law. We will update the “Last updated” date and, where the change is material, we will post a notice on the site or in our Discord.

Your continued use of the site after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.

12. Termination

We may suspend or end your access to the site, our Discord, our tryout programs, or any other community surface at any time, with or without notice, where we believe it is necessary. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law — will continue to apply.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which ZER0 Esports primarily operates, without regard to conflict of laws principles. To the extent permitted by law, you and ZER0 agree that any dispute arising under these Terms will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.

Nothing in these Terms limits any consumer right that cannot be waived under the law of your country of residence.

14. Contact

Questions about these Terms, takedown requests, or concerns about conduct in our community can be sent through our contact page. For urgent moderation issues in our Discord, please tag the moderation team in the appropriate report channel.
